Rail
With the upgrading of the route between Bangkok and Hua Hin to dual track, rail is by far the most relaxed way to get to Hua Hin. Most of the trains from Bangkok to Hua Hin depart from Bangkok's Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Bang Sue Grand Station); this station has trains 9 times daily, taking between 3 hours 01 min to 3hrs 42 min to cover the 200km distance. There are also two trains daily from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong station and two trains from Thonburi, but as these are deemed Ordinary services, they are not bookable online and must be purchased at a train station. These additional four services take around 4.5 hours to reach Hua Hin.
All services depart from Bangkok's Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal.

Bus & MiniBus
The direct route between Suvarnabhumi Airport and the New Hua Hin Bus Station operates 9 times daily.
To get to Hua Hin from Pattaya, there is a single service daily.
There are also bus services operating between Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal and Hua Hin Bus Station.
Another service operates 2 services daily between Khao San Road and the Hua Hin Bus Station.
One final single night service operates between Khao San Road and the Hua Hin Clocktower.

Air
Hua Hin's airport currently only services the Hua Hin - Chiang Mai - Hua Hin route, with seven flights per week in either direction.
It wasn't that long ago that there was a route between Hua Hin and Udon Thani, as well as Hua Hin and Kuala Lumpur. With vast improvements already undertaken to the Hua Hin airport runways and infrastructure, and with more still in the pipeline, it is hoped that the airport with finally fulfil its potential.
MiniVan
There a number of services operating MinVans between Bangkok and Hua Hin. Of the three operators, one departs from the Ekkamai Bus Terminal, another from the Mochit New Van Terminal and the last one is from Mama Travel and Tour in Khao San Road.
Be aware that MiniVans are often small 14 seater vehicles with minimal leg room and strict baggage restrictions. Having said that, they are also by far he most popular way for Thais to travel around their Kingdom; they are affordable and offer convenient scheduling. They are not for everyone, but serve a purpose.
